host DARTMOOR KNITTING & CROCHET RETREATS
Belinda Harris-Reid (knit-wear designer, promoter of hand-knitting design events and has her own yarn range) and Rachel Vowles (RV - freelance Technical Editor for various knitting and crochet magazines and publishers including Knitting Magazine and Inside Crochet) are hosting great get-away knitting/crochet and up-skilling sessions/kick-off-your-shoes relaxing retreats.
These retreats will be held in Fru and Peter Goudge's super-duper quintessentially English country home just outside of Chagford on the Devon Moors ... with lots of laughter, chat and expert guidance to help you develop and learn new skills in knitting and crochet.

From casting-on to cabling, Belinda and RV will be on hand all day to guide and show the complete beginners and those who want to develop new skills. Knitters and crocheters with experience can come with your latest 'work-in-progress'.
Everyone can soak up the wonderful atmosphere, eat Fru's mouth wateringly delicious home-made food and sink into a squishy sofa to indulge in a whole unadulterated day focussed on your favourite past time.

Fru's B&B has 4 bedrooms (two double rooms, one single room and a twin room) when these are booked you have the option of staying at one of the many fabulously acclaimed pubs or B&Bs in Chagford* or if you want super-uber luxury you can stay at Gidleigh Park (Michael Caines' Michelin starred hotel and restaurant).

Running order of retreats:
10.00: Meet and greet, introductions and warm welcomes with tea, coffee and Fru's homemade biscuits
10.30 - 1.00: Knitting/crochet time
1.00 - 2.00: Delicious lunch of local and home-grown produce presented with panache by Fru
2.00 - 4.00: Knitting/crochet time
4.00: A short interlude for a truly scrumptious Devon cream tea with home-made jams and scones (and of course Devon clotted cream!)
4.30 - 5.00: Consolidating techniques and tying-up loose ends
5.00 - 5.15: Goodbyes/waving you on your way home...
WEEK-END: Saturday (as above) and Sunday (10.00am - 2.00pm, as above) - Goodbyes
