host DARTMOOR KNITTING & CROCHET RETREATS

Belinda Harris-Reid (knit-wear designer, promoter of hand-knitting design events and has her own yarn range) and Rachel Vowles (RV - freelance Technical Editor for various knitting and crochet magazines and publishers including Knitting Magazine and Inside Crochet) are hosting great get-away knitting/crochet and up-skilling sessions/kick-off-your-shoes relaxing retreats.

These retreats will be held in Fru and Peter Goudge's super-duper quintessentially English country home just outside of Chagford on the Devon Moors ... with lots of laughter, chat and expert guidance to help you develop and learn new skills in knitting and crochet.

Old England at its best; sheep and chickens,

incredible views of the patch-work wonderland

of Dartmoor, warmth from a roaring fire,

dogs and parrots, gold framed

Renaissance-esque oil paintings,

cosy soft sofas with piles of cushions and

of course lots of tea in china cups. Divine.

From casting-on to cabling, Belinda and RV will be on hand all day to guide and show the complete beginners and those who want to develop new skills. Knitters and crocheters with experience can come with your latest 'work-in-progress'.

Everyone can soak up the wonderful atmosphere, eat Fru's mouth wateringly delicious home-made food and sink into a squishy sofa to indulge in a whole unadulterated day focussed on your favourite past time.

More detailed info on booking, T&C and content of the day etc. coming soon
